Kelli Soileau was born on Oʻahu but spent much of her youth on Kauaʻi, graduating from Kauaʻi High School. She attended UH Mānoa earning a BA in journalism with a focus on Hawaiian studies. She is a communications strategist at OHA and previously worked at Bishop Museum where she had kuleana for producing the members’ journal, Ka ʻElele
, and for coordinating the museum’s community programs. She currently lives in Kāneʻohe with her husband who loves and rescues animals.
