As part of last year’s Makahiki celebration, members of the Hikiau ʻOhana, a group of cultural practitioners from South Kona, Hawaiʻi Island, gathered at Hale o Keawe at Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau to offer hoʻokupu to the seven akua Lono. This was the third of five ceremonies they conducted to open the Makahiki season.
