Lolena Nicholas is a mānaleo (first language Hawaiian speaker) from the island of Niʻihau who has dedicated her life to perpetuating ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi. Throughout her 30+ year career, she has had a hand in teaching ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi to thousands of students.
