Kirby Wright

Kirby M. Wright is an award-winning ʻŌiwi poet, novelist, and playwright. He was born and raised in Hawaiʻi, graduated from Punahou, and has a Master of Fine Arts degree in creative writing. His family land on Molokaʻi served as the breadbasket for Kamehameha’s warriors while training for their assault on Oʻahu. His Hawaiian blood comes by way of Kulia Naʻoho, his piha Kanaka Maoli great-grandmother from Waiehu, Maui.
